The Goat Polyclonal anti-Sorting Nexin 1 antibody is suitable to detect Sorting Nexin 1 in samples from Human, Rat, Mouse, Cow and Dog. It has been validated for WB, IF, IHC (p) and EIA.
Peptide ELISA: 1/64000. Western blot: Approx 75 kDa band observed in Human lysates of cell line HeLa (calculatedMW of 59.5 kDa according to NP_003090.2). The observed molecular weight corresponds toearlier findings with different antibodies from other commercial sources. Recommended concentration: 1 - 3 μg/mL. Other applications not tested. Optimal dilutions are dependent on conditions and should be determined by the user.

Background
Sorting nexin 1 is a member of the sorting nexin family. Members of this family contain a phox (PX) domain, which is a phosphoinositide binding domain, and are involved in intracellular trafficking. This endosomal protein regulates the cell-surface expression of epidermal growth factor receptor. This protein also has a role in sorting protease-activated receptor-1 from early endosomes to lysosomes. This protein may form oligomeric complexes with family members. This gene results in three transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms.
