    Alternative Name

    Background

G-Protein coupled receptor 19 (GPR19 or GPR - NGA) is a 415 amino acid protein with two potential glycosylation sites and one disulfide bond that belongs to the G - protein coupled receptor 1 family. The gene encoding GP R19 was found to be overexpressed with small cell lung cancer and metastatic melanomas, but also with human embryonic stem cells. Expression of the protein has been found in the brain and in testis of adult mice.
