Western Blotting (WB), Immunoprecipitation (IP), Enzyme Immunoassay (EIA)
  • Specificity

This product detects porcine Mutarotase / Aldose 1-epimerase. Cross reactivity against Mutarotase from other tissues and species may occur but have not been specifically determined. Assay by immunoelectrophoresis resulted in a single precipitin arc against anti-biotin, anti-rabbit serum as well as purified and partially purified porcine Mutarotase. Species: Porcine (Pig).

    Purification

Delipidation, salt fractionation and ion exchange chromatography followed by extensive dialysis against the buffer

    Immunogen

    Mutarotase from porcine kidney
  • Application Notes

Western blot : 1/500-1/5,000. Immunoprecipitation : 1/100. ELISA : 1/5,000-1/20,000. This product has been assayed against 1.0 μg of Mutarotase [porcine kidney] in a standard sandwich ELISA using peroxidase conjugated strepavidin and ABTS as a substrate for 30 minutes at room temperature. A working dilution of 1/2,000 to 1/10,000 of the reconstitution concentration is suggested.

    Restrictions

    For Research Use only
  • Preservative

    Sodium azide

    Precaution of Use

This product contains Sodium azide: a POISONOUS AND HAZARDOUS SUBSTANCE which should be handled by trained staff only.

    Storage

    4 °C,-20 °C

    Storage Comment

Store lyophilized at 2-8°C for 6 months or at -20°C long term. After reconstitution store the antibody undiluted at 2-8°C for one month or (in aliquots) at -20°C long term. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Shelf life: one year from despatch.

    Expiry Date

    12 months
  • Target

GALM (Galactose Mutarotase (Aldose 1-Epimerase) (GALM))

    Alternative Name

    aldose 1-epimerase

    Background

Mutarotase converts alpha-aldose to the beta-anomer. It is active on D-glucose, L-arabinose, D-xylose, D-galactose, maltose and lactose
