The Rabbit Polyclonal anti-Amylin/DAP antibody (ABIN5691119) specifically detects Amylin/DAP in IHC (p) and IHC (fro).
The antibody is reactive with Human samples.

Reactivity: Human, Rat, Mouse
WB, IHC (p), IF (p)
Host: Rabbit

Application Notes
Polyclonal anti-amylin is suitable for immunohistochemistry on frozen and paraffin-embedded tissues. Optimal antibody dilution should be determined by titration, recommended range is 1:800-1:1500 using PAP, or 1:300-1:500 using FITC, with over-night incubation at +4 °C.
Amylin or islet amyloid polypeptide (IAPP) is produced in the pancreas beta cells and co-released with insulin. The amino acid sequence shows great homology with calcitonin gene related peptide (CGRP). Amylin has been shown to reverse insulin inhibition of hepatic gluconeogenesis and to inhibit muscle uptake of glucose.
Polyclonal anti-Amylin was obtained by immunizing a rabbit with human amylin.
