    Alternative Name

    CD11a

    Background

Antigen distribution: CD11a antigens are expressed on lymphocytes, granulocytes, monocytes and macrophages, with increased levels on memory T cells [1,2]. CD11a (integrinaL subunit) combines with CD18 (integrin b2 subunit) to form the integrin LFA-1 (CD11a/CD18). The three ligands for LFA-1 are CD54 (ICAM-1), CD102 (ICAM-2) and CD50 (ICAM-3), each of which contains IgSF domains. DF1524 was clustered at the Leucocyte Typing Workshop IV [5]. Cellular Expression: Lymphocytes, granulocytes, monocytes and macrophages.

    Pathways

Activated T Cell Proliferation, Integrin Complex
