    Purpose

    Edg6 Antibody

    Cross-Reactivity (Details)

A BLAST analysis was used to suggest cross-reactivity with Edg6 from human, mouse and rat based on 100 % homology with the immunizing sequence.

    Purification

Anti-Edg6 Antibody was purified by affinity chromatography.

    Immunogen

Edg6 Antibody was produced from whole rabbit serum prepared by repeated immunizations with the n-terminus amino acid portion of human Edg6 protein.

    Isotype

    IgG
  • Application Notes

    Western_Blot_Dilution: 3.0-5.0 μg/mL

    Other: ICC: 5 μg/mL

    Comment

Anti-Edg6 is tested for use in WB, ICC/IF, IHC, and IHC-P. Expect a band approximately 35kDa on specific lysates. Specific conditions for reactivity should be optimized by the end user.

    S1PR4 (Sphingosine-1-Phosphate Receptor 4 (S1PR4))

    Alternative Name

    Edg6

    Background

    Synonyms: EDG6, Sphingosine 1-phosphate receptor 4, S1P receptor 4, S1P4, Endothelial differentiation G-protein coupled receptor 6, Sphingosine 1-phosphate receptor Edg-6, S1P receptor Edg-6

Background: Anti-Sphingolipid Receptor Edg6 S1P4 detects human and mouse Sphingolipid Receptor Edg6 S1P4. Edg6 is a recently cloned member of the endothelial differentiation gene (EDG) G protein-coupled receptor family. It is a receptor for the lysosphingolipid sphingosine 1-phosphate (S1P), which are structurally related lysophospholipid mediators. Binding of SPP to Edg6 activates Erk, leading to the activation of the transcription factor Elk1 and thus the mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK) signal transduction pathway. The protein also acts as a receptor for a lipid-derived ligand. Edg6 plays an essential role in lymphocyte cell signaling. The protein is specifically expressed in fetal and adult lymphoid and hematopoietic tissue as well as in lung. Human Edg6 gene is intronless and is mapped to chromosome 19p13.3 at the D19S120 marker. Anti-Sphingolipid Receptor Edg6 S1P4 antibody is ideal for investigators involved in neurobiology.
