    Purpose

    ATRIP Phospho S239 Antibody

    Cross-Reactivity (Details)

Anti-ATRIP pS239 Antibody is directed against human ATRIP protein phosphorylated at S239.

    Purification

The antibody was prepared from monospecific antiserum by immunoaffinity chromatography using phospho peptide coupled to agarose beads followed by solid phase adsorption(s) against non-phospho peptide and non-specific peptide to remove any unwanted reactivities.

    Sterility

    Sterile filtered

    Immunogen

Anti-Phospho-Ser239 ATRIP Antibody was produced from rabbits by repeated immunizations with a synthetic phospho-peptide corresponding to amino acid residues surrounding Ser239 of human ATRIP conjugated to KLH.

    Isotype

    IgG

    Comment

Anti-ATRIP Phospho-Ser239 Antibody is tested for WB. Expect a band at approximately ~86 kDa on specific lysates or tissues. Specific conditions for reactivity should be optimized by the end user. The antibody also recognizes a band at ~32k.

  • Target

    ATRIP (ATR Interacting Protein (ATRIP))

    Alternative Name

    ATRIP

    Background

Synonyms: ATM, Rad3-related-interacting protein, ATR-interacting protein

Background: ATRIP, ATR interacting protein, binds to ATR to regulate ATR expression, and is an essential component of the DNA damage checkpoint pathway (Cortez et al, 2001). ATR is recruited to DNA lesions in part through its association with ATRIP, which in turn interacts with the single-stranded DNA binding protein RPA (Ball et al, 2007). DNA replication forks may stall as a result of DNA damage causing phosphorylation of several proteins, including BRCA1 when colocalizing with ATR/ATRIP complex and RPA (Venere et al, 2007). The DNA replication fork stall coincides with BRCA1 directly phosphorylating ATRIP at ser239. ATRIP pS239 Antibody is ideal for researchers interested in cancer research.
