    Comment

Tested Species: In-house tested species with positive results. By Heat: Boiling the paraffin sections in 10mM citrate buffer, pH6.0, for 20mins is required for the staining of formalin/paraffin sections. Other applications have not been tested. Optimal dilutions should be determined by end users.

    SOX15 (SRY (Sex Determining Region Y)-Box 15 (SOX15))

    Alternative Name

    SOX15

    Background

    Synonyms: Protein SOX-15, Protein SOX-12, Protein SOX-20, SOX15, SOX12, SOX20, SOX26, SOX27

Tissue Specificity: Widely expressed in fetal and adult tissues examined, highest level found in fetal spinal cord and adult brain and testis.

Background: Protein SOX-15 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the SOX15 gene. This gene encodes a member of the SOX (SRY-related HMG-box) family of transcription factors involved in the regulation of embryonic development and in the determination of the cell fate. The encoded protein may act as a transcriptional regulator after forming a protein complex with other proteins.
