- Application Notes
- Human transforming growth factora (TGFa) consists of 50 amino acid residues with three disulphide bridges. It belongs to the family of epidermal growth factor related peptides and binds to EGFreceptor. It is involved in cell proliferation in healthy cells and is found in various cancer cells. Transfection of Fibroblasts with the TGFa gene induces tumor formation.
