Specificity: This antibody recognizes human CD8 which is a cell surface receptor expressed either as a heterodimer with the CD8 beta chain (CD8 alpha/beta) or as a homodimer (CD8 alpha/alpha). CD8 is a T-cell co-receptor involved in the recognition of MHC class I molecules. It is present on cytotoxic/suppressor T lymphocytes.
