  • Purpose

    ATP-citrate synthase Polyclonal Antibody

    Specificity

ATP-citrate synthase Polyclonal Antibody detects endogenous levels of ATP-citrate synthase protein.

    Purification

The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen

    Immunogen

Synthesized peptide derived from human ATP-citrate synthase around the non-phosphorylation site of S455

    Isotype

    IgG
  • Application Notes

Optimal working dilutions should be determined experimentally by the investigator. Suggested starting dilutions are as follows: WB (1:500-1:2000), IF (1:200-1:1000), ELISA (1:10000). Not yet tested in other applications.

    ACLY (ATP Citrate Lyase (ACLY))

    Alternative Name

    ATP-citrate synthase

    Background

Rabbit Anti-ATP-citrate synthase Polyclonal Antibody,ACLY, ATP-citrate synthase, ATP-citrate, pro-S-)-lyase, ACL, Citrate cleavage enzyme,ATP citrate lyase is the primary enzyme responsible for the synthesis of cytosolic acetyl-CoA in many tissues. The enzyme is a tetramer (relative molecular weight approximately 440,000) of apparently identical subunits. It catalyzes the formation of acetyl-CoA and oxaloacetate from citrate and CoA with a concomitant hydrolysis of ATP to ADP and phosphate. The product, acetyl-CoA, serves several important biosynthetic pathways, including lipogenesis and cholesterogenesis. In nervous tissue, ATP citrate-lyase may be involved in the biosynthesis of acetylcholine. Multiple transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been identified for ACLY.,ATP-citrate synthase
