    TIPRL (TIP41-like protein (TIPRL))

    Alternative Name

    Tip41

    Background

Background: In Saccharomyces cerevisiae Tip41 is implicated to play a role in the TOR (target of rapamycin) pathway which regulates cell growth in response to nutrient signals. Tip 41 negatively regulates the TOR pathway by binding and inhibiting TAP42, an inhibitor of the SIT4 phosphatase.
