    Background

Background: TTK is a cell-cycle regulated dual-specificity kinase that is part of the Mps1 family of kinases. TTK has been shown to interact with Chk2, a cell cycle checkpoint kinase, to mediate cellular responses to DNA damage. TTK has also been shown to be localized from the kinetochore to the centrosome at the entrance of anaphase, and required for mitotic spindle maintenance through the interaction with TACC2.
