Background
Background: Diaphanous 2 is a member of the formin family of proteins that is responsible for actin polymerization and nucleation activity and the formation of linear, unbranched actin cables and stress fibers. Diaphanous 1 is a target of the small GTPase, Rho. RhoB and diaphanous 2 have been shown to interact on endosomes and control actin dynamics involved in vesicle trafficking.
