SARNP (SAP Domain Containing Ribonucleoprotein (SARNP))

    Alternative Name

    CIP29

    Background

Background: Cytokine induced protein of 29 kDa (CIP29) is a protein that is upregulated in response to various cytokines. CIP29 may play a role in cell cycle progression. A translocation between the CIP29 gene and the myeloid/lymphoid leukemia gene, results in the expression of a chimeric protein and has been associated with acute myelomonocytic leukemia [taken from NCBI Entrez Gene (Gene ID: 84324)].
