    MAP4K6 (MINK1) (Misshapen-Like Kinase 1 (MINK1))

    Alternative Name

    MINK1

    Background

Background: MINK1 (misshapen/NIKs-related kinase 1) is a member of the germinal center kinase (GCK) family that are homologous to the yeast sterile 20 (Ste20) kinases. GCKs function in the activation of the JNK pathway. MINK1 has been found to activate the JNK pathway and may have a role in modulating cytoskeletal organization, cell adhesion, and cell migration during development.
