  • Target

    U2AF1 (U2 Small Nuclear RNA Auxiliary Factor 1 (U2AF1))

    Alternative Name

    U2AF35

    Background

Background: U2AF35 heterodimerizes with U2AF65 to form the U2 snRNP auxiliary factor which is part of the splicesome. U2AF35 is required for splicing of AG-dependent pre-mRNAs and functions in recognizing the conserved 3' splice site dinucleotide AG. U2AF35 contains an atypical RNA recognition motif (RRM), two C3H1-type zinc fingers, and a C-terminal arginine/serine (RS)-rich domain interrupted by glycines.
