    Background

    Background: MOF is a member of the MYST family of histone acetyltransferases (HAT). MOF has been shown to be required for histone H4 lysine K16-specific acetylation. MOF interacts with ATM (ataxia-telangiectasia-mutated) and may participate in the activation of ATM in response to DNA damage.
