  • Target

    TRIM3 (Tripartite Motif Containing 3 (TRIM3))

    Alternative Name

    TRIM3/BERP

    Background

Background: TRIM3/BERP is a member of the tripartite motif RBCC/Trim domain family that contains a RING-finger domain, B-boxes, and an alpha-helical coiled-coil region. TRIM3/BERP has been identified as a component of the CART (cytoskeleton-associated recycling or transport) complex which includes actinin-4, hrs, myosin V, and TRIM3/BERP. In this complex TRIM/BERP is involved in the recycling of plasma membrane receptors.
