  • Target

Geminin (GMNN) (Geminin, DNA Replication Inhibitor (GMNN))

    Alternative Name

    Geminin

    Background

Background: Geminin has been identified as a protein that inhibits DNA replication during S, G2, and M phases in association with Cdt1 (chromatin licensing and DNA replication factor). Geminin prevents the binding of the MCM complex onto origins of replication, and its abundance is regulated by ubiquitin ligase activity of the APC/C (anaphase-promoting/cyclosome) complex.
