Background
- Background: PBK (PDZ binding kinase), also known as TOPK (T-LAK cell-originated protein), is a mitogen-activated protein kinase kinase (MAPKK) first identified in a yeast two-hybrid assay as a Dlg1 (disks-large)-interacting protein. PBK has been found to be up-regulated in breast cancers and highly expressed in neural stem cell cultures.
