Background
- Background: INPPL1 (Inositol Polyphosphate Phosphatase-Like Protein 1) is a phosphatidylinositol phosphatase that negatively regulates phosphoinositide 3-kinase (PI3K) pathways related to numerous cell activities. INPPL1 plays a role in PI3K-dependent insulin, macrophage colony-stimulating factor, and EGF signaling. INPPL1 is also involved in actin cytoskeletal remodeling, actin dynamics, and neuritogenesis. INPPL1 interacts with SHC1 (src-homology domain) to mediate EGFR signaling.
