    Alternative Name

    FOX2/RBM9

    Background

Background: RBM9 (RNA binding motif protein 9) is a member of the Fox family of pre-mRNA splicing regulatory proteins. RBM9, also known as Fox-2, has been identified as an important regulator of tissue-specific alternative splicing that functions as a switch to activate intron inclusion during cell and tissue development. RBM9 has also been identified as a negative coregulator of the estrogen receptor (ER).
