Background
- Background: MTA1 (metastasis-associated protein 1) is a component of the NuRD (nucleosome remodeling and histone deacetylation) complex. MTA1 was identified as a factor differentially expressed in several types of metastatic carcinoma including breast cancer. MTA1 has also been demonstrated to function as a corepressor for ligand-induced estrogen receptor (ER) transactivation.
