    Background

Background: FBXO38 (F-box only protein 38) is a member of the the F-box protein family. Members of this family are characterized by an approximately 40-amino acid F-box motif. FBXO38 is also known as MoKA (modulator of KLF7 activity) and originally identified as a factor that super-stimulated the activity of the Kruppel-like zinc-finger protein, KLF7, which plays a role in the gene expression of genes encoding cell cycle regulators such as p21 Waf/Cip and p27 kip.
