- TNKS (Tankyrase, TRF1-Interacting Ankyrin-Related ADP-Ribose Polymerase (TNKS))
-
Alternative Name
- Tankyrase 1
-
Background
- Background: Tankyrase-1 is a poly(ADP-ribose) polymerase that localizes to telomeres via its interaction with TRF1. Tankyrase modifies and associates with multiple proteins and appears to be involved in the maintenance of telomere length, sister telomere association, mitotic spindle organization, and trafficking of glut4-containing vesicles.
