    26S Proteasome Regulatory Subunit 6A (PSMC3)

    Alternative Name

    TBP1

    Background

Background: Tat-binding protein 1 (TBP1) is a regulatory subunit (subunit 6A) of the 26S protease involved in the ATP-dependent degradation of ubiquitinated proteins. This subunit may compete with PSMC2 for binding to the HIV tat protein to regulate the interaction between the viral protein and the transcription complex.
