  • Target

    JAM3 (Junctional Adhesion Molecule 3 (JAM3))

    Alternative Name

    JAM-C

    Background

Background: Junctional adhesion molecule C (JAM-C) participates in cell-cell adhesion. JAM-C is a counter-receptor for ITGAM, mediating leukocyte-platelet interactions and is involved in the regulation of transepithelial migration of polymorphonuclear neutrophils (PMN). The soluble form of JAM-C is a mediator of angiogenesis [taken from the Universal Protein Resource (UniProt) Q9BX67].
