The clone HI12H7, a mouse monoclonal antibody, specifically targets the 70 kDa transmembrane α chain of the IL3 receptor, also known as CD123. This receptor is prominently expressed in various cells within the hematopoietic system, including hematopoietic progenitor cells, monocytes, and B-lymphocytes. CD123 plays a crucial role in regulating the production and differentiation of hematopoietic progenitor cells into lineage-restricted cells. Notably, elevated levels of CD123 expression are frequently observed in a range of hematolymphoid neoplasms. These include acute myeloid leukemia, blastic plasmacytoid dendritic cell neoplasm, acute lymphoblastic leukemia, hairy cell leukemia, systemic mastocytosis, and certain types of B cells.
