    AA 23-126

    Purpose

    Anti-CD3e [33H1], Rabbit IgG, kappa

    Specificity

This antibody binds human CD3e. It is part of TCR-CD3 complex present on T-lymphocyte cell surface that plays an essential role in adaptive immune response. It also plays a role in signal transduction during T cell development and in correct T-cell development.

    Characteristics

    Original Species of Ab: Mouse

    Original Format of Ab: IgG2a

    Purification

    Protein A affinity purified

    Immunogen

The original antibody was generated by immunizing BALB/c mice with recombinant human CD3 antigen (amino acids 23-126).

    Isotype

    IgG kappa
  • Application Notes

This binding specificity of this antibody for human CD3e was checked using ELISA. The affinity constant of the original IgG2a antibody was determined to be 1.92x10^9 M^(-1). This antibody can recognize human CD3e recombinant protein in an immunoblot assay. This antibody is similar to commercially available anti-CD3 antibody SP7 in immunohistochemical staining of T cell lymphomas. This antibody can also be used for the immunohistochemical staining of normal tissues like brain, heart, cerebellum, esophageal, adrenal, stomach, ovary, small intestine, pancreatic, colorectal, paratony gland, liver, pituitary, salivary gland, testicular, kidney, thyroid, prostate, breast, uterus, spleen , Bladder, tonsil, skeletal muscle, thymus (young children), skin, bone marrow, peripheral nerve, lung and melodder cells (CN111363043).

    Comment

This chimeric rabbit antibody was made using the variable domain sequences of the original Mouse IgG2a format for improved compatibility with existing reagents assays and techniques.
