  • Purpose

    RON Antibody

    Cross-Reactivity (Details)

Anti-RON antibody is directed against human RON. The antibody detects both unphosphorylated and phosphorylated forms of the protein.

    Characteristics

    Synonyms: rabbit anti-RON antibody, anti-MSP receptor, CDw136, CD136, Macrophage-stimulating protein receptor, p185-Ron, PTK8, RON, Protein-tyrosine kinase 8, c-met-related tyrosine kinase

    Sterility

    Sterile filtered

    Immunogen

Immunogen: Anti-RON Antibody was produced in rabbits by repeated immunizations with a recombinant protein produced in Sf9 cells corresponding to the full length human RON protein.

    Immunogen Type: Recombinant Protein

  • Application Notes

Application Note: Anti-RON Antibody has been tested by western blot. Specific conditions for reactivity should be optimized by the end user. Expect a predominant band at ~ 152.3 kDa corresponding to full length protein by western blotting in the appropriate cell lysate or extract. Western Blot Dilution: 1:500-1:2000 ELISA Dilution: 1:2,000 - 1:10,000 Other: User Optimized

    Storage

    -20 °C

    Storage Comment

Store vial at -20° C or below prior to opening. This vial contains a relatively low volume of reagent (25 μL). To minimize loss of volume dilute 1:10 by adding 225 μL of the buffer stated above directly to the vial. Recap, mix thoroughly and briefly centrifuge to collect the volume at the bottom of the vial. Use this intermediate dilution when calculating final dilutions as recommended below. Store the vial at -20°C or below after dilution. Avoid cycles of freezing and thawing.

    Background

Background: RON antibody detects human RON. RON is a member of the protein kinase superfamily. Protein kinases mediate most of the signal transduction in eukaryotic cells, regulating cellular metabolism, transcription, cell cycle progression, cytoskeletal rearrangement and cell movement, apoptosis, and differentiation. RON is a heterodimer composed of an α chain and a β chain. The α chain is completely extracellular, whereas the β chain traverses the cell membrane and contains the intracellular tyrosine kinase and regulatory elements. Anti-RON Antibody is ideal for investigators involved in Cell Signaling, Cancer, Neuroscience and Signal Transduction research.
