Immunogen
E.coli-derived human PLCB1 recombinant protein (Position: H9-D834). Human PLCB1 shares 98.8% and 98.5% amino acid (aa) sequence identity with mouse and rat PLCB1, respectively.
At -20°C for one year from date of receipt. After reconstitution, at 4°C for one month. It can also be aliquotted and stored frozen at -20°C for six months. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
PLCB1 is also known as PLC-I, EIEE12 or PLC154. The protein encoded by this gene catalyzes the formation of inositol 1,4,5-trisphosphate and diacylglycerol from phosphatidylinositol 4,5-bisphosphate. This reaction uses calcium as a cofactor and plays an important role in the intracellular transduction of many extracellular signals. This gene is activated by two G-protein alpha subunits, alpha-q and alpha-11. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.
