Mutations of this gene have been associated with atherosclerosis, risk of myocardial infarction, and may modify the risk of Alzheimer's disease. Alternate splicing results in multiple transcript variants. Diseases associated with OLR1 include Myocardial Infarction and Chlamydia Pneumonia. Among its related pathways are Innate Immune System and Response to elevated platelet cytosolic Ca2+.
