Background
- The RB1CC1 protein is a key regulator of the tumor suppressor gene RB1.It is localized in the nucleus and has been proposed to be a transcriptionfactor because of its nuclear localization signal, leucine zipper motif, andcoiled-coil structure. 20% of primary breast cancers contain mutations inRB1CC1 which shows characteristics of a classic tumor suppressor gene.
