Background: Rabbits were immunized with the DYKDDDDK (DYKDDDDK) peptide conjugated with KLH. After multiple immunizations in Freund's adjuvant, serum was collected and the antibodies were affinity-purified using the peptide immobilized on a solid phase. The affinity-purified antibodies were then conjugated with Fluorescein Isothiocyanate (FITC). Prior to conjugation, the antibodies were analyzed by ELISA and Western blot.
