Add 0.1 mL of the sample diluent buffer into the control well (Zero well). Add 0.1 mL of each properly diluted sample of human cell culture supernates, serum or plasma(heparin, EDTA) to each empty well. It is recommended that each human CCL23 standard solution and each sample be measured in duplicate.

Background: Chemokine(C-C motif) ligand 23(CCL23), also known as MIP-3 and MPIF-1, is a small cytokine belonging to the CC chemokine family. It is mapped to 17q12. CCL23 is predominantly expressed in lung and liver tissue, but is also found in placenta, bone marrow and some cell lines of myeloid origin. MPIF1 has chemotactic activity on resting T lymphocytes and monocytes, lower activity on neutrophils. It has also been attributed to an inhibitory activity on hematopoietic progenitor cells that give rise to granulocyte and monocyte lineages. Moreover, CCL23 is a ligand for the chemokine receptor CCR1.
