    Characteristics
This is a synthetic peptide designed for use in combination with anti-CAPZB Antibody. It may block above mentioned antibody from binding to its target protein in western blot and/or immunohistochecmistry under proper experimental settings. There is no guarantee for its use in other applications.

CAPZB (Capping Protein (Actin Filament) Muscle Z-Line, beta (CAPZB))
    Background
F-actin-capping proteins bind in a Ca(2+)-independent manner to the fast growing ends of actin filaments (barbed end) thereby blocking the exchange of subunits at these ends. Unlike other capping proteins (such as gelsolin and severin), these proteins do not sever actin filaments. It plays a role in the regulation of cell morphology and cytoskeletal organization. .
