Characteristics
-
A synthetic peptide for use as a blocking control in assays to test for specificity of MICA antibody,
Alternative Names: MICA control peptide, MICA antibody Blocking Peptide, Anti-MICA Blocking Peptide, Mhc Class I Polypeptide-Related Sequence A Blocking Peptide, MGC111087 Blocking Peptide, PERB11.1 Blocking Peptide -
Purification
- The antibody is affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using epitope-specific phosphopeptide. The antibody against non-phosphopeptide is removed by chromatography using non-phosphopeptide corresponding to the phosphorylation site.

-
Background
- MICA is expressed on the cell surface, although unlike canonical class I molecules does not seem to associate with beta-2-microglobulin. It is thought that MICA functions as a stress-induced antigen that is broadly recognised by intestinal epithelial gamma delta T cells.
