Application

Blocking Peptide (BP), Western Blotting (WB)
  • Characteristics

This is a synthetic peptide designed for use in combination with anti-SF1 antibody (Catalog #: ARP41212_P050). It may block above mentioned antibody from binding to its target protein in western blot and/or immunohistochecmistry under proper experimental settings. There is no guarantee for its use in other applications.

    Handling Advice

    Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

    Storage

    -20 °C

    Storage Comment

For longer periods of storage, store at -20°C. Avoid repeat freeze-thaw cycles.
  • Target

    Splicing Factor 1 (SF1)

    Background

SF1 contains 1 KH domain and 1 CCHC-type zinc finger. It is necessary for the ATP-dependent first step of spliceosome assembly and binds to the intron branch point sequence (BPS) 5'-UACUAAC-3' of the pre-mRNA. It may act as transcription repressor.
