Application

Blocking Peptide (BP), Western Blotting (WB)
  • Characteristics

This is a synthetic peptide designed for use in combination with anti-SNAPC1 antibody (Catalog #: ARP38227_T100). It may block above mentioned antibody from binding to its target protein in western blot and/or immunohistochecmistry under proper experimental settings. There is no guarantee for its use in other applications.

  • Target

SNAPC1 (Small Nuclear RNA Activating Complex, Polypeptide 1, 43kDa (SNAPC1))

    Background

SNAPC1 is a part of the SNAPc complex required for the transcription of both RNA polymerase II and III small-nuclear RNA genes. It binds to the proximal sequence element (PSE), a non-TATA-box basal promoter element common to these 2 types of genes and recruits TBP and BRF2 to the U6 snRNA TATA box.
