Background
- RRAS, also known as ras-related protein R-Ras, belongs to the Ras family which functions in signal transduction pathways. This protein has been shown to interact with RASSF5, NCK1, Bcl-2, ARAF and RALGDS. RRAS can bind GTP and GDP, and it has intrinsic GTPase activity. It also regulates the organization of the actin cytoskeleton. Recombinant RRAS protein, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, was expressed in E. coli and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques.
