Reconstitution
- Centrifuge the vial before opening. Reconstitute to a concentration of 0.1-0.5 mg/mL in sterile distilled water. Avoid votex or vigorously pipetting the protein. For long term storage, it is recommended to add a carrier protein or stablizer (e.g. 0.1 % BSA, 5 % HSA, 10 % FBS or 5 % Trehalose), and aliquot the reconstituted protein solution to minimize free-thaw cycles.
-
Buffer
- Lyophilized from a 0.22 μm filtered solution of PBS, pH 7.4.
-
Storage
- -20 °C,-80 °C
-
Storage Comment
-
Store the lyophilized protein at -20°C to -80 °C for long term.
After reconstitution, the protein solution is stable at -20 °C for 3 months, at 2-8 °C for up to 1 week.

- IGFBP4 (Insulin-Like Growth Factor Binding Protein 4 (IGFBP4))
-
Alternative Name
- IGFBP-4
-
Background
-
Description: IGFBP-4 (insulin-like growth factor binding protein 4) is member of the IGFBP family of structurally similar secreted glycoproteins . IGFBP-4 binds both insulin-like growth factor 1 (IGF-1) and IGF-2 with high affinity and inhibits IGF action in vitro. It circulates in the plasma in both glycosylated and non-glycosylated forms. Binding of this protein prolongs the half-life of the IGFs and alters their interaction with cell surface receptors. There is mounting evidence that IGFBP proteins plays a key role in the regulation of IGF bioavailability, by modulating its molecular size, capillary membrane permeability, target tissue specificity, cell membrane adherence and IGF affinity.
