Alternative Name
- DR3/TNFRSF25

Background
- TNFRSF25, also known as Tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily member 25, is a member of the TNF receptor superfamily that binds to the TNF-like protein TL1A. TNFRSF25 signals are required to exert T helper cell 2 effector function in Th2-polarized CD4 cells and co-stimulate interleukin-13 production by glycosphingolipidactivated NKT cells. Its axis is a novel immune pathway that participates in the pathogenesis of a variety of autoimmune rheumatic diseases. These molecules may be promising therapeutic targets for inflammatory arthritis. Recombinant human TNFRSF25, fused to hIgG-His-tag at C-terminus, was expressed in insect cell and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques.
