- Background
- RELT, also known tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily member 19L, is one of the the tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily. It is expressed in hematopoietic tissues and peripheral blood leukocytes. This protein mediates activation of NF-kappa-B and plays a role in T-cell activation. With overexpression of this protein in HEK-293 cells, it induces p38 and JNK signaling and activates apoptosis. And it can also costimulate T-cell proliferation in the presence of CD3 signaling. Recombinant human RELT protein, fused to hIgG-His-tag at C-terminus, was expressed in insect cell and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques.
