Purpose
- Mouse IgG2b (Gamma 2b chain) Antibody
-
Cross-Reactivity (Details)
- Assay by immunoelectrophoresis resulted in a single precipitin arc against anti-Rabbit Serum, Mouse Serum, Mouse IgG and Mouse IgG2b. Specificity was confirmed by ELISA. For IgG1, IgG2a and IgG3 reactivity was less than 5 % against target (IgG2b, IgG).
-
Characteristics
- Anti-MOUSE IgG2a (Gamma 2a chain) (RABBIT) Antibody generated in rabbit detects specifically Mouse IgG2a heavy chain. Anti-Mouse IgG2a is ideal for investigators involved in Serum Protein Component research.
-
Purification
- Anti-MOUSE IgG2b (Gamma 2b chain) Antibody was prepared from monospecific antiserum by immunoaffinity chromatography using Mouse IgG2b coupled to agarose beads followed by solid phase adsorption(s) to remove any unwanted reactivities.

Background
- Secreted as part of the adaptive immune response by plasma B cells, immunoglobulin G constitutes 75 % of serum immunoglobulins. IgG2, the second largest of IgG isotypes, comprises almost 25 % of IgG and has a low affinity for binding to the Fc receptor of phagocytic cells. Secondary Antibodies are available in a variety of formats and conjugate types. When choosing a secondary antibody product, consideration must be given to species and immunoglobulin specificity, conjugate type, fragment and chain specificity, level of cross-reactivity, and host-species source and fragment composition.
