Cross-Reactivity (Details): Assay by immunoelectrophoresis resulted in a single precipitin arc against anti-Peroxidase, anti-Goat Serum, Chicken IgM and Chicken Serum. No reaction was observed against other chicken heavy or light chain proteins.

Characteristics: Anti-Chicken IgG Peroxidase Antibody generated in goat detects chicken IgY.

Purification: This product was prepared from monospecific antiserum by immunoaffinity chromatography using Chicken IgM coupled to agarose beads followed by solid phase adsorption(s) to remove any unwanted reactivities.

Application Notes: Application Note: Anti-Chicken IgM Peroxidase Conjugated antibody has been tested by ELISA and western blot. This product has been assayed against 1.0 μg of Chicken IgM in a standard capture ELISA using ABTS (2,2'-azino-bis-[3-ethylbenthiazoline-6-sulfonic acid]) code # ABTS-100 as a substrate for 30 minutes at room temperature.  A working dilution of 1:10,000 to 1:40,000 is suggested for this product.  Immunohistochemistry Dilution: 1:500 - 1:2,500 Western Blot Dilution: 1:1,000 - 1:10,000 ELISA Dilution: 1:10,000 - 1:50,000 Other: User Optimized

Formed from covalently linking 5 immunoglobulins together, the approximate molecular weight of IgM is 900 kDa and possesses 10 binding sites (though due to the size of most antigens, not all sites are capable of binding at once).
