Reactivity
- Mouse

Host
- Rabbit
-
Clonality
- Polyclonal
-
Application
- Immunodiffusion (ID), Immunoelectrophoresis (IEP), Radial Immunodiffusion (RID)
- Specificity
- The reactivity of the antiserum is directed to the subclass IgG2b.
- Characteristics
- Total protein and IgG concentration in the antiserum are comparable to those of pooled normal rabbit serum. Antibody titre: Precipitin titre not les than 1:32 when tested against pooled normal mouse serum in agar block immunodif
- Purification
-
Delipidated, heat inactivated, lyophilized, stable whole antiserum
Immunoaffinity adsorbed using insolubilized antigens as required to eliminate antibodies cross-reacting with other components of the immunoglobulin system or reacting with other serum proteins. Special attention is given to the removal of antibodies to common Ig/Fab. The use of insolubilized adsorption antigens prevents the presence of excess adsorbent protein or immune complexes in the antiserum. Hyperimmune antisera with strong precipitating activity are selected for fractionation and purification of the IgG (7S) fraction containing the bulk of the defined antibody specificity. It is free of other serum proteins as tested by immunoelectrophoresis. - Immunogen
- Pools of purified homogenous IgG2b isolated from mouse serum. Freund's complete adjuvant is used in the first step of the immunization procedure.
- Isotype
- IgG
-
- Application Notes
- In immunoelectrophoresis use 2 µL or equivalent against 120 µL antiserum. In double radial immunodiffusion (Ouchterlony) use a rosette arrangement with 10 µL antiserum in a 3 mm diameter centre well and 2 µL serum samples (neat and diluted) in 2 mm diameter peripheral wells.
- Restrictions
- For Research Use only
-
- Format
- Lyophilized
- Reconstitution
- Reconstitute the lyophilized antiserum by adding 1 mL sterile distilled water.
- Buffer
- No foreign proteins added.
- Preservative
- Without preservative
- Handling Advice
- Dilutions may be prepared by adding phosphate buffered saline (PBS, pH 7. 2). Repeated thawing and freezing should be avoided. If a slight precipitation occurs upon storage, this should be removed by centrifugation. It will not affect the performance of the antiserum. Diluted antiserum should be stored at +4 °C, not ref rozen, and preferably used the same day.
- Storage
- 4 °C/-20 °C
- Storage Comment
- The lyophilized antiserum is shipped at ambient temperature and may be stored at +4 °C, prolonged storage at or below -24 °C.
