    Purpose

F(ab')2 Human IgA (alpha chain) Antibody Biotin Conjugated

    Cross-Reactivity (Details)

Assay by immunoelectrophoresis resulted in a single precipitin arc against anti-Biotin, anti-Goat Serum, Human IgA and Human Serum.  No reaction was observed against anti-Pepsin, anti-Goat IgG F(c) or other human heavy or light chain proteins.

    Characteristics

F(ab')2 Anti-Human IgM Fc5μ Alkaline Phosphatase Antibody generated in goat detects specifically the Fc5μ portion of the human IgM heavy chain.

    Purification

This product was prepared from monospecific antiserum by immunoaffinity chromatography using Human IgA coupled to agarose beads followed by solid phase adsorption(s) to remove any unwanted reactivities, pepsin digestion and chromatographic separation.

    Immunogen

Optional[Immunogen]: Human IgA alpha heavy chain

    Background

F(ab')2 Anti-Human IgA Biotin Antibody generated in goat detects immunoglobulin A (alpha chain) from human. Immunoglobulin A (IgA) is an antibody that plays a critical role in mucosal immunity. IgA has two subclasses (IgA1 and IgA2) and can exist in a dimeric form called secretory IgA (sIgA). Secondary Antibodies are available in a variety of formats and conjugate types. When choosing a secondary antibody product, consideration must be given to species and immunoglobulin specificity, conjugate type, fragment and chain specificity, level of cross-reactivity, and host-species source and fragment composition. F(ab')2 Antibody is ideal for investigators who routinely perform flow cytometry, immunohistochemistry or IHC and other immunoassays.
