    Purpose

Monkey IgA (alpha chain) Antibody Rhodamine Conjugated

    Cross-Reactivity (Details)

Assay by immunoelectrophoresis resulted in a single precipitin arc against anti-Goat Serum, Monkey IgA and Monkey Serum.   No reaction was observed against Monkey IgG or Monkey IgM.   Specificity was confirmed by ELISA at less than 1 % cross reactivity against other Monkey heavy or light chain isotypes.

    Characteristics

Anti-Donkey IgG Texas Red Antibody generated in rabbit detects donkey IgG.

    Purification

This product was prepared from monospecific antiserum by immunoaffinity chromatography using Monkey IgA coupled to agarose beads followed by solid phase adsorption(s) to remove any unwanted reactivities.

    Immunogen

Optional[Immunogen]: Monkey IgA alpha heavy chain

    Background

Anti-Monkey IgA (alpha chain) Rhodamine Antibody generated in goat detects immunoglobulin A (alpha) from monkey. Immunoglobulin A (IgA) is an antibody that plays a critical role in mucosal immunity. IgA has two subclasses (IgA1 and IgA2) and can exist in a dimeric form called secretory IgA (sIgA). Secondary Antibodies are available in a variety of formats and conjugate types. When choosing a secondary antibody product, consideration must be given to species and immunoglobulin specificity, conjugate type, fragment and chain specificity, level of cross-reactivity, and host-species source and fragment composition. This Anti-Monkey IgA antibody has bee conjugated to rhodamine.
