Immunogen
- Chickens were immunized with highly purified rabbit IgG isolated from normal pooled rabbit serum. After multiple immunizations in Freunds adjuvant, eggs were collected and the IgY fraction prepared. The antibodies were immunoaffinity purified from a solid phase immunoabsorbent and conjugated to conjugated to N- hydroxysuccinimide (NHS)-activated agarose beads. Beads were washed extensively after the blocking of the residual NHS sites.

- The specific activity of the anti-RabIG-agarose was determined. For this lot, 1.1 mg rabbit IgG bound per ml agarose.
